Ravishing Raviolini

Italy has always been known for its unique clothing lines and culture, but let’s not forget food! The boot shaped country is the national hub for carb lovers. There is no restaurant along any street that does not serve some type of pasta or pizza—not complaining! One thing that I have learned here is that there is no such thing as saying, “I’m eating pasta” because pasta varies throughout the country. About 12 minutes away from my apartment there is a chic, elegant restaurant, Coquinarius, that serves a ravioli that I had never imagined existed. They call it the Raviolini Ripieni di Formaggio e Pere or in other words, the pear ravioli. It was perfectly cooked al dente and was filled with cooked pears that dissolved into the melted cheese. The ravioli was served nicely with a creamy sauce. As soon as you see the server bring your plate to the table, your mouth instantly begins to water at the sight and smell. Each bite seemed like heaven. The modern rustic style inside the restaurant gave off the perfect vibe to enjoy the appetizing pear ravioli and a glass of wine with delightful friends. If I ever hear anyone say they are going to eat pasta, I hope they eating the pear ravioli!
