Top 10 Florence Views

10. Basilica of Santa Maria Novella

Located right outside of the train station, this beautiful church is placed in front of lush garden filled with flowers. Before you hop on a train to depart the city of Florence (why would you do that?), this beaming building is the perfect goodbye.

9. Gold carousel in Piazza della Repubblica

This surprising site in the middle of the piazza will bring you back to your childhood really quick. After happy hour, you’ll see plenty of adults waiting in line to ride it!

8. View from Corso de Tintori 21 Terrace

With a canopy created by leaves, this is a peaceful spot to relax and get some work done while being close to the river. It is also a great spot to enjoy some gelato away from the crowded streets below!

7. View of Ponte Vecchio

This bridge was spared during a WWII bombing due to its breathtaking beauty. The bridge used to have meat stores, but now it is filled with jewelry stores selling sparkling gold items. Time for a souvenir??

6. Iced coffee from Green Street Bar

Nothing says “American girls in Italy” like blondes walking around carrying iced coffee or iced lattes. This view brightens up our days and gives us a little taste of home (We miss you, Starbucks).

5. The REAL statue of David

Definitely a must see as there are several fake Davids throughout Florence. The real David is in the Accademia museum, and it is gigantic!

4. Heart shaped pizza from Gustapizza

If you’re lucky, Gustapizza will turn your favorite pie into a heart shaped piece of art. Our mouths water looking at these delicious creations, and they taste even better than they look. Pizza > boys

3. Panino from All’Antico

Paninis bigger than your face for 5 euros? Count us in! All’Antico has become a staple in our diet because we can make the sandwich into two meals (sometimes ;)) Have you ever seen anything more beautiful?

2. View from top of Duomo

Ahhh, the Duomo. A landmark that towers over the city of Florence. If you want the greatest workout of your life, climb to the top to see a breathtaking view of the city. Is it worth it? Yes. (so you don’t feel guilty eating pizza & pasta after)

1. Piazza Michelangelo

For the best view of Florence, this is the place to go! You can spend hours just sitting at the piazza overlooking the incredible city. There might be one of the many talented street performer to add to your experience! The view is similar to the top of the Duomo except you don’t have to die climbing up 463 steps.
